Risk Disclosure
Last updated: April 5, 2026
Please read this Risk Disclosure carefully before using the Parachute Bot Trader platform. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these risks.
Trading Risk
Trading event contracts on Kalshi involves substantial risk of loss. You may lose some or all of your invested capital. Past performance of the software does not guarantee future results. You should only trade with funds you can afford to lose.
Non-Custodial Model
Parachute is trading software, not a fund or money management service. We operate on a strictly non-custodial basis:
- You own your Kalshi account
- You control your API keys and can revoke access at any time via Kalshi
- Your funds remain in your Kalshi account at all times
- Parachute never holds, controls, or has withdrawal access to your funds
- Parachute cannot move funds into or out of your Kalshi account
Not Investment Advice
Parachute does not provide investment advice, trading recommendations, or financial guidance. The bot executes trading strategies that you configure through your own parameter choices. We do not recommend specific positions, edge thresholds, or position sizes. All trading decisions are yours.
User Control
You have full control over the bot at all times:
- You set all trading parameters — position sizes, risk limits, probability bands, edge thresholds, and more
- You can stop all trading instantly via the kill switch on your dashboard
- You can revoke the bot's API access at any time through your Kalshi account settings
- You can modify your trading configuration at any time through the dashboard
Software Risk
Automated trading software carries inherent risks that manual trading does not:
- The bot may experience bugs, crashes, or unexpected behavior
- Server downtime or network failures may prevent the bot from operating
- API changes by Kalshi may temporarily disrupt trading
- The bot executes trades automatically and may act faster than you can intervene
- Software updates may change trading behavior
Market Risk
Kalshi markets carry their own risks independent of the bot software:
- Markets may have low liquidity or wide bid-ask spreads
- Market outcomes and settlements are determined by Kalshi, not Parachute
- Trading hours and market availability are controlled by Kalshi
- Kalshi may suspend or delist markets at any time
No Guarantees
Parachute makes no guarantees of profitability, uptime, execution quality, or any particular trading outcome. The Service is provided "as is." You use the Service at your own risk.
Your Obligation
By using Parachute, you represent that you understand the risks described above, that you have read and agree to Kalshi's Member Agreement, and that you are making your own independent decision to trade.
